The beauty that surrounds us daily

Well it's a week today since I lost my precious Yoda and what an unbearable week of pain, yes the post-mortem brought me immense relief and the fact he came home helps enormously but he's left such a huge void in my life. Not been particularly well health wise either, I have pleurisy again and to be honest Ive just been going out and doing the basics with the outside pens and cats. Part of the problem of being outside is that there are so many painful reminders of Yoda. Well today I've wrapped up and spent time out there, I love being outside and there is so much beauty to see, Arthur the goose snatching a piece of bread and marching over to his water to dip it first, to make it go down easier.

Frank and Marty playing kiss chase, yes two boys, a superb display of Bromance! The ferals climbing trees, they only had busy roads were they used to live.

So yes the beauty is still there and I get that in order to love so deeply, you must expect to hurt so badly when there gone. However the most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, no they are felt within the heart, so Yoda will always be there.

Tomorrow we revamp the Birkenhead pen, with Marty and Frank living in the house now it's sad to see it derelict. We have 3 concordias ( concordias were 16 cats saved from euthanasia, all living outside ) Esme, marbel and Merdith, 2 boys and a girl, they will come out and eat but spit if you approach, they are in our lounge, which now has to be closed off to the others. These 3, Quite ironically, all share the same closeness that Yoda, Marty and Frank showed and because of this, gave me the same dilemma that the Birkenheads did, who would want 3 cats, all who can't be stroked. Me! so they will be moving in, kept in for a few months and then free to come and go as they please :)
