Sparkle

Meet sparkle, Sparkle came to us a few years ago, we adopted her from a rescue as it was very clear she was feral and certainly did not want human interaction. She was originally seized from a house, she had been living in a caravan with 30 odd cats and barely enough food to go round. We kept her in for 2 months and it was clear that she just wanted to live her life free, come for food but certainly not allow you to stroke her.
Letting her out for the first time was a such a scary moment, would she run away and never be seen again?  She has a huge sky crate with Cosy blankets and this is inside a huge plastic container to keep it dry, every day we placed her biscuits down and every day it would go but still no sign. John used to go down every night with a hot water bottle that stays warm for 8 hrs.
It's quite rural at the back of where we live but there is a market Gardner that potters about, he also has a couple of barns. 6 months after we had set her free we spotted her one night in the trees, watching from a safe distance as we dutifully placed her biscuits. She was alive and was still coming back, I was thrilled to say the least. The two months we had invested in her, respecting her wishes in keeping our distance but still supplying her a lifeline of fresh food and water and a safe place to rest, had paid of.
Couldn't believe it though when the market Gardner said she sleeps in his barn every night, he closed to the door, just enough to keep her out of draughts but not enough to frighten her! Needless to say john stopped the hot water bottle visits. We go months and don't see her but just whilst I was there feeding the chickens moments ago, I heard her, she is so vocal, she look so well and certainly not going hungry, the last time she visited was when my dog Loki sadly passed over to Rainbow Bridge last year and today she appears, just over a week since Yodas passing. She certainly is Heaven sent.
